Mumbai: Famous Bollywood actor Dharmendra Deol will play the role of Sufi Sheikh Salim Chishti in his new film.

According to an Indian media report, Dharmendra shared the first glimpse of his role in his new film 'Taj' on social media and informed his fans that he will be playing the role of Sufi Hazrat Sheikh Saleem Chishti in his upcoming film.

This Z Series presentation under the banner of Contello Digital will chronicle the Mughal Empire and various events of the Mughal era, featuring the role of Sufi Sheikh Salim Chishti.
Sheikh Salim Chishti was a great and Jalil-ul-Qadr Sufi saint of the Chishti family in India. Among the first Mughal kings of the Mughal Empire, Akbar, Jahangir had great devotion to him.

In the film, Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah will be seen playing the role of King Akbar, who is looking for a worthy successor.
