Sydney: Australia defeated Pakistan Women's team by 8 wickets in the first T20 match of the series and took a 0-1 lead.

In the match played at the Sydney Cricket Stadium, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first against Australia.

Umima Sohail from Pakistan scored 30, Ayesha Naseem scored 24 runs, Megan from Australia showed 5 Pakistani players the way to the pavilion instead of 15.

The Australian women's team chased down the set target of 119 runs in 13.4 overs for the loss of 2 wickets, with Sadia Iqbal and Nidadar taking one wicket each.

Earlier, the Kangaroos had swept Pakistan in the ODI matches of the three-match series.
