Karachi; Two robbers involved in the killing of a Navy officer were arrested in a police encounter
KARACHI: Boat Basin Police arrested two robbers with injuries after an alleged encounter near Beach View Park Defense.
According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the arrested suspects were identified as 22-year-old Muhammad Waqas son of Bakht Nawaz and 20-year-old Bilal Khan son of Waheed Khan. Two pistols with ammunition, mobile phones, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from the accused.
According to Boat Basin Police, the two arrested suspects are involved in the murder of Navy officials. On January 17, Navy officer Muhammad Shan, son of Muhammad Aslam, who was near the Clifton Pak Tower helipad, was taking a picture with his cousin Kashif Nawaz with his mobile phone. During this, two motorcycle-borne robbers snatched his mobile phone from Muhammad Shan and escaped after firing two shots from 9mm pistol on resistance.
According to the police, during the investigation, the investigator said that he shot and killed Navy officer Muhammad Shan. According to the police, the motorcycle used in the incident, the mobile phone stolen from the Navy officer and a 9 mm pistol were recovered from the possession of the arrested robbers.
Boot Basin Police said that the arrested bandits are residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and have been arrested and jailed in various cases before. The arrested bandit Waqas was released from jail on January 9.
