Lightning strike in Saudi Arabia, many camels killed
Riyadh: Several camels were killed in an accident caused by lightning in Saudi Arabia.
According to foreign media, a trawler collided with camels after being struck by lightning in the vicinity of Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh, resulting in the death of seven camels.
The destroyed trawler and dead camels can be seen in a video that has gone viral on social media. At the time of the accident, there was a wind and heavy rain in the area. The Saudi General Directorate of Civil Defense has warned the citizens of the dangers of torrential rains, saying that there may be heavy rains in several areas of the kingdom. Citizens should be careful especially while traveling.
The report issued by the National Center of Meteorology said that there is a possibility of moderate to severe thundershowers and hailstorm in different areas. Some areas of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah Mukarramah may experience more rains on high places of Medina.
