First T20: Pakistan beat New Zealand by 88 runs
Lahore: Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 88 runs in the first T20I.
In the first match of the T20 series played in Lahore, the New Zealand team was dismissed for 94 runs in 16 overs.
Mark Chapman scored 34 runs for New Zealand. Captain Tom Latham scored 20, James Neesham scored 15 and Daryl Mitchell scored 11 runs.
On behalf of Pakistan Haris Rauf took 4, Imad Wasim 2 and Shaheen Shah Afridi, Zaman Khan, Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf took 1 and 1 wicket respectively.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and batted first and were bowled out for 182 runs in 19.5 overs.
Saeem Ayub and Fakhar Zaman scored 47 and 47 runs from Pakistan. Faheem Ashraf scored 22, Imad Wasim scored 16, Haris Rauf scored 11, captain Babar Azam scored nine, Mohammad Rizwan scored eight, Shadab Khan scored five and Shaheen Shah Afridi scored one. Out.
For New Zealand, Matt Henry took 3, Adam Millan and Ben Lister took 2 and 2, while James Neesham and Ish Sodhi took 1 and 1 out.
