Blast inside CTD police station in Swat; 12 people martyred
12 people were martyred and 53 injured in 2 blasts inside the CTD police station in Swat's Kabal.
In this regard, the police confirmed that there was an explosion inside the CTD police station in Tehsil Kabal, but it is too early to say that it is an act of terrorism. According to the police, the roof of the police station room collapsed after the explosion.
The police said that there were 2 explosions in the police station, along with which the electricity was cut off and a fire broke out. In this regard, the DHO said that rescue operations are going on after the explosion and the injured are being shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital.
The DHO confirmed that 12 people were martyred and more than 53 injured in the blast, while a female official was also included in the martyrs.
Saidu Sharif Hospital administration has imposed an emergency in the hospital. Besides, the police said that after the explosion, the security forces surrounded the area and the nature of the explosion is being determined.
Condemnation of the Prime Minister
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the explosion in CTD police station in Kabul and while expressing regret for the loss of precious lives, sought a report from the relevant authorities.
He said that the entire nation salutes the sacrifices of the martyrs, the forces and the police will root out the menace of terrorism.
Caretaker Chief Minister KPK expressed condolences
Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Azam Khan has expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the families of the martyrs who were martyred in the incident.
He said that KP police have made eternal sacrifices for peace and order in the province, these sacrifices of police martyrs will not go in vain.
