Second ODI; New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 79 runs
Karachi: New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 79 runs in the second ODI.
In the second one-day match of the series played at the National Stadium, Karachi, the Pakistan team was bowled out for 182 runs in 43 overs.
Babar Azam scored 79 runs for Pakistan. Wicket beater Mohammad Rizwan scored 28 runs and Agha Salman got out after scoring 25 runs
For New Zealand, Tim Southee and Ish Soodi took 2 and 2 wickets while Lockie Ferguson, Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell and Glenn Phillips took 1 and 1 wicket respectively.
Earlier, the New Zealand team won the toss and batted first, scoring 261 runs in 45.5 overs.
Devon Conway was the standout batsman with 101 and Kane Williamson with 85 runs. While Mitchell Santner got out after scoring 37 runs.
On behalf of Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz got 4, Naseem Shah got 3 players out, while Haris Rauf and Osama Mir got 1, 1 wickets.
