Babar Azam is like my son, never got angry with him, Wasim Akram
Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram denied reports of differences with national cricket team captain Babar Azam as lies.
In an interview with Cricket Pakistan, Pakistan's former fast bowler and captain Wasim Akram dismissed the reports of differences with Babar Azam as baseless and false.
Waseem Akram said that Babar Azam is like my son and never got angry with him. Some journalists are sitting at home making stories. These are people who are on Twitter 24 hours a day and I have never even met these journalists.
Wasim Akram further said that the decision to trade Babar with Peshawar Zalmi was taken by the owners and I had nothing to do with it. I fully support Babar. It is common for players to move from one team to another in leagues.
He said that despite the lack of experience, it would not be beneficial to remove Babar from the captaincy. Supporting Babar will be good for the team. We don't need enemies, our own people are enough. Criticism of Babar is a source of shame and I am saddened by it.
After Babar Azam's departure from Karachi Kings to Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, social media was talking about the relationship between Wasim Akram and Babar Azam.
